Goya Awards

The Goya Awards are the annual national film awards presented by the Academy of Cinematographic Arts and Sciences of Spain. Established in 1987, these awards honor outstanding achievements in the Spanish film industry, including categories such as Best Film, Best Director, Best Actor, and Best Actress, among others. Named after the famous Spanish painter Francisco de Goya, the awards aim to promote and recognize the artistic and cultural contributions of Spanish filmmakers and actors. The ceremony is typically held each February and is one of the most prestigious film awards in Spain, akin to the Oscars in the United States.
