Liga MX

Liga MX is the top professional football (soccer) division in Mexico. Established in 1943, it is the premier league of the Mexican football league system, where the best clubs in the country compete. Liga MX operates on a system of promotion and relegation with the second-tier league, Ascenso MX, although the latter has seen changes in its structure over recent years. The league consists of 18 teams that compete in a format that typically includes a regular season followed by playoffs, known as Liguilla, to determine the champion. Liga MX is known for its passionate fan base and has produced many talented players who have both local and international recognition. It is one of the most-watched football leagues in the United States and has a significant following in Latin America and beyond.
