Natural Disaster

A natural disaster is a catastrophic event resulting from natural processes of the Earth, causing significant disruption to communities and ecosystems. This can include phenomena such as earthquakes, hurricanes, floods, tornadoes, wildfires, tsunamis, volcanic eruptions, and landslides. Natural disasters often lead to loss of life, injury, property damage, and environmental degradation. The severity of their impact can vary greatly depending on factors such as the magnitude of the event, local infrastructure, preparedness of the community, and response efficiency. Natural disasters are generally classified as either geophysical (e.g., earthquakes, tsunamis) or meteorological (e.g., storms, floods). They pose serious challenges for emergency management, urban planning, and environmental conservation efforts.
